Chiefs vs. Broncos preview:

Just when the Chiefs were becoming the Chiefs of last year, they lost. After rattling off 10 straight wins last season, Kansas City had rattled off five straight before a loss to the Buccaneers at home. At 7-3 on the season, the Chiefs are sitting pretty in the AFC, but do sit in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. Despite their impressive record, they still sit one game behind the Raiders in the division.

Denver also sits at 7-3 on the season. And like the Chiefs, the Broncos are also trailing the Raiders for the top spot in the AFC West. Denver is a pedestrian 3-3 since starting the season 4-0. The Broncos took down Drew Brees and the Saints, then got a bye week to prepare for this date with the Chiefs.

The Chiefs and Broncos have played 112 times in history, with the Chiefs holding a 57-54 advantage in the regular season. The Broncos have a 1-0 advantage in the playoffs.

Chiefs vs. Broncos prediction:

Two very solid defensive teams means very few points will be scored in this one.

Denver should be able to get to the quarterback in this one, which will make the difference. Trevor Siemian will do just enough to keep the Broncos ahead.
