Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray were teammates at Oklahoma during the 2017 season, with Murray backing up the brash Mayfield during his Heisman campaign.

After Mayfield was taken No. 1 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, Murray stepped in and won a Heisman Trophy of his own. He then went on to be the first player selected in the 2019 NFL Draft.

These guys clearly have a lot in common. But Murray wants you to know they have their differences to.

Speaking with the media today before the pair face off for the first time on an NFL field on Sunday, Murray acknowledged contrast between he and Mayfield.

Murray is most likely referring to some of Mayfield's off and on-field antics that have drawn criticism over the years. Just this week, he caused a stir when he seemingly took a shot at the Cleveland Browns' training staff for how it has handled Odell Beckham's groin injury. Mayfield said today he has cleared the air with anyone who might have been offended.

Mayfield and Murray will square off when the Arizona Cardinals host the Browns this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.

Like Mayfield did last year, Murray is having a promising rookie season. However, Mayfield has suffered through a sophomore slump, something Murray will want to avoid in 2020.
