Colin Kaepernick Responds To Report He Would Stand For National Anthem

Kaepernick has now responded.

Earlier today it was reported that Colin Kaepernick said he would stand for the national anthem if he signed with an NFL team.

That report has now been refuted by multiple outlets, and the AP itself has issued a clarification saying Kaepernick and reporter Jason La Confora did not discuss a possible protest.

Kaep released the following tweet, suggesting that the report is not true.

Here's what Kaep had to say.

Kaepernick's girlfriend more clearly stated his intentions when it comes to a possible protest during the national anthem.

Kaepernick had previously said that he would stand “when the flag represents what it’s supposed to.”

We're not sure where the miscommunication started, but it seems that Kaepernick would continue to kneel, or protest in some way, during the national anthem if signed by an NFL team.
