Comedian Ready To Apologize To Gisele Bundchen For Tom Brady Joke

According to multiple reports, Gisele Bundchen did not take too kindly to being the subject of several jokes during Netflix's Tom Brady roast in May.

Comedian Nikki Glaser broke out some of the more notable Gisele-related barbs, including saying that Brady has "eight rings now that Gisele gave hers back." Glaser also made a couple of jokes about Gisele's new relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

"The only thing dumber than saying yes to this roast was when you said, ‘Hey babe, you should try jiu-jitsu,’” Glaser told Brady.

In the aftermath of the roast, Glaser stood by her jokes, and while she's not exactly backing down from them now, she told PEOPLE she understands why Gisele was unhappy.

“I mentioned her in a joke, which I did question because she wasn't there, and it's like, ‘She's not asking for this.’ But then I remembered that she's the hottest person in the world, and I go, ‘She can probably handle it,’” Glaser said. “Which obviously is a joke, but at the same time, yeah, I heard that she maybe wasn't happy with some jokes. I don't know if it was mine in particular, but I think that was fair."

“I think that comedy is always going to upset someone. And I think if I were her, I would've been annoyed too. So I give her that 100%,” Glaser added. “And if I ever met her, I would definitely apologize for hurting her feelings if she was indeed upset about it.”

Glaser, 40, told Vanity Fair in May that the Brady roast did more for her career than anything else had previously.

"I ascended in my career more than I ever have, overnight," Glaser said. "It just doesn’t happen today with how oversaturated the content is—that all eyes are on something like this. Outside of Will Smith slapping me, I don’t think I’ll get this much attention as a comedian in my life."

Brady and Bundchen divorced in October 2022 after more than 13 years of marriage. The couple have two children together, a son and a daughter.

Bundchen is currently expecting a child by Valente.
