The Washington Commanders made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason by bringing in offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy from the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs

According to a new report, the team is interested in another member of the Chiefs' staff.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Commanders are interested in bringing in Chiefs assistant Greg Lewis. Lewis is currently the running backs coach in Kansas City and has experience working with Bieniemy.

Lewis has worked as a coach in Kansas City since 2017, spending his first four seasons as the team's wide receivers coach. As an assistant, Lewis is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs.

The move would make a lot of sense for the Commanders, who are looking to replicate some of the continuity that the Chiefs have enjoyed over the last few years. Bieniemy bringing in other coaches that he feels comfortable with will make his transition seamless.

Lewis was a former wide receiver in the league, playing for the Eagles, Patriots and Vikings. He played in Super Bowl XXXIX with the Eagles in 2005, where the team lost to the Patriots.

Eric Bieniemy may not be able to bring all the talent he had in Kansas City, but it appears he is looking to replicate the coaching staff.
