Cowboys Land Former Clemson Star In Trade With Vikings

The Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings have decided to shake up their secondaries, swapping cornerbacks in a trade this Friday.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys are acquiring Andrew Booth in exchange for Nashon Wright. This deal is pending physicals.
Booth, a former second-round pick from the 2022 NFL Draft, was considered a star at Clemson. He earned All-ACC honors in each of his last two seasons, racking up 54 tackles, nine pass break-ups and five interceptions during that span.
Unfortunately for Booth, he hasn't really had that type of success in the NFL. Last season, he had eight tackles and one pass break-up in 17 games with the Vikings.
Wright, on the other hand, was drafted by the Cowboys in 2021 out of Oregon State. Although he hasn't started much in Dallas, he has 37 career tackles, five pass break-ups and an interception.
It's possible that a change of scenery is exactly what Booth and Wright need to resurrect their respective careers. On the flip side, there's a very realistic chance neither player reaches their full potential.
With the NFL season less than a month away, Booth and Wright won't have that much time to adjust to new playbooks.
