Dallas Cowboys Reveal Their Message To Frustrated Fans

The Dallas Cowboys haven't really made a huge splash this offseason, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones addressed the criticism regarding the team's offseason moves. He wants fans to know that championships aren't won in the spring.
"I don’t think you ever win the Super Bowl in the offseason," Jones said. "I think it’s a full body of work that you put together over time. I think we’ll be a better team and I think we can take the next step"
These comments from Jones may not erase the fan base's doubts regarding the Cowboys' Super Bowl odds, but he's right. Historically, the teams that spend the most money in free agency are toward the bottom of the standings.
The Cowboys lost several key players this offseason, such as Amari Cooper, La'el Collins, Randy Gregory and Cedrick Wilson. On the flip side, they added Dante Fowler Jr. and James Washington to their roster.
Dallas will have the chance to address some of its weaknesses during the NFL Draft next week. With the 24th pick in the draft, the Cowboys could pursue a playmaker like Treylon Burks or Chris Olave.
If the Cowboys can put together another strong draft class, they'll be considered the team to beat in the NFC East.
