Jerry Jones Hints At Potential Change To NFL Schedule

Preseason football began just a few weeks ago, but it's already near its conclusion.
The 2019 preseason action ends this week as teams use one final game to set their rosters for the upcoming season.
Most of the talk surrounding this year's preseason has been on the lack of talent taking part.
Teams decided to rest their starters more this year than any other - even in the third preseason game which usually sees the starters play a significant portion of the game.
Earlier this week, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones suggested the could be a change to the preseason schedule in the works.
Here's what he had to say, via Pro Football Talk.
But the bottom line is that everybody knows that at the end of the day, it’s my town against yours and we want to see competing right down to the last down and so getting there with [the] preseason doesn’t happen. So we’re taking a look at it. . . . It has been a subject of evaluating, looking at, critiquing since I’ve been in the league for 30 years.
ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested the change could come as early as next season.
However, as the NFL and the Player's Association work on a new CBA, everything is on the table. We'll just have to wait and see if they come to a conclusion.
