Legendary Cowboys Star: 'God Didn't Create Us To Be Gay'
A former Dallas Cowboys star is taking heat on social media for what he said about gay people.
Dez Bryant, who starred for the Cowboys in the 2010s, said on sociail media that he doesn't believe that God intended to make anyone gay.
The former Cowboys wide receiver even referenced his own mother, who is gay, in his rant on social media.
"God created a lot of beautiful things but I know damn well he didn’t create us to be gay…. I don’t have problems with gays just my beliefs," he wrote.
"My mama gay/and she’s free to do as she please. God didn’t make Adam to be with another Adam.
"God said Adam wasn’t meant to be alone so he made Eve. They both have certain parts for a reason. You have men trying to get pregnant… that’s not what’s up."
Bryant, who played collegiately at Oklahoma State, is taking a lot of heat on social media for his comments, but he appears to be standing by them.
"I didn’t grow up with positive influences. God placed a desire in my heart to change my environment & my dysfunctional upbringing," he wrote.
"The way I walk through the devil grounds with maximum strength is really unheard of… I’m different and I’ve embraced it a long time ago!"
Bryant, 35, played for the Cowboys from 2010-2017. He then spent time with the Saints and the Ravens in 2018 and '20.
The former Cowboys star was a three-time Pro Bowler in Dallas.
