With the regular season just about ready to start in the NFL, Stephen A. Smith listed his top five wide receivers on ESPN's First Take. When listing the best wideouts in the league, Smith excluded one name in particular: Davante Adams.

Adams isn't as popular as Odell Beckham Jr. or DeAndre Hopkins, but the talented wideout has produced at such a high rate.

Last season, the Fresno State product had 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns. He's become an absolute machine in the red zone for Green Bay.

Instead of placing Adams on his list, Smith gave the honors to Hopkins, Beckham, Julio Jones, Michael Thomas and Tyreek Hill.

Once Adams saw the list circulating on Twitter, the Pro Bowl wide receiver responded by saying "Sniffin glue."

It's safe to say that Adams believes he belongs in the top five.

Making lists for any position is mostly based on preference, and it's hard to discount the other wideouts that Smith mentioned over Adams. On the other hand, his production over the past few years may warrant top-five consideration.

Adams will get the chance to prove that he's one of the best playmakers in the league next Thursday.

Green Bay will play Chicago to kick off the regular season.
