Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson suffered what looked like a horrific knee injury during the team's game against the Rams. Johnson took the hand off and ran to the left side of the field before being dragged down awkwardly.
Johnson's leg gets pinned underneath him as the defender falls on his knee.
Johnson had to be carted off of the field, and the extent of his injury is unknown.
The running back had an incredible 2016 season, compiling over 1,200 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving.
Johnson will likely finish the season with the most receiving yards for a running back in the NFL. He's also likely to finish in the top five for rushing yards.
In his second year out of Northern Iowa, Johnson has become an elite every down back in the NFL. He's a vital part of the Cardinals offense and we wish him all the best.
