Devin Hester Announced His Retirement From NFL

Hester is walking away from the game.

The most dangerous return man of the 21st Century announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday morning.

Devin Hester took to Twitter to announce that his fans will need to find a new favorite returner, but made sure everyone knows he can "still beat anyone down that sideline."

The longtime Chicago Bear spent 11 seasons in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl four times.

Hester leaves the game with three NFL records in his grasp; most career total return touchdowns (20), most career punt return touchdowns (14), tied-most return touchdowns in a season (6).

The Bears drafted Hester in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Miami. Initially drafted as a corner, Hester eventually took over as the kick returner, where he dominated for years.
