There are plenty of mixed opinions regarding Ezekiel Elliot's contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys running back is in his fourth year of a five-year rookie contract. Elliot feels his current salary doesn't align with his proven star-power though.
Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones is displeased with Elliot's decision. Jones' displeasure is mostly based on the fact Elliot's absence is a major loss to the team.
“We need Zeke,” Jones said, via New York Post. “We’re a better team with Zeke. But we need to be able to win when we need to without players because of injuries, suspension or in this case, holdout."
While many are urging Zeke to end the dispute, a former player is voicing his opinion regarding the matter.
Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant weighs in on Elliot's decision, via Twitter.
"Zeke great for you," Bryant said. "15 years, 20 years from now you are going to thank yourself. Being 100% committed to something and not getting that same commitment back will break you down! Stand your ground. I wish I would have done a lot of things different"
It's likely Elliot will highly value Bryant's remarks. The contract dispute doesn't appear it will come to an end any time soon.
