Dez Bryant Won't Play Sunday vs. The 49ers

Dez Bryant's playing status for Sunday has been revealed.

Dez Bryant told reporters this afternoon that the Cowboys will play it safe with his injury. He will not be playing Sunday at San Francisco.

The star wide receiver suffered a hairline fracture in his knee during Dallas' win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.

Bryant has been criticized this week, as he went AWOL and skipped some team meetings and delayed taking his MRI. He was fined by the Cowboys for doing this. The former Oklahoma State standout admitted today that he made a mistake and could have handled it better. Bryant says he was upset and feared the worst with his injury.

Bryant, who missed much of 2015 with an injury, has 11 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown this season.

Dallas is set to kick off against San Francisco at 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday. The game will be televised on FOX.
