Eagles vs. Bengals preview:

After a 3-0 start, the Eagles have gone totally backwards, winning just two of their last eight games. Last week they were demolished by Aaron Rodgers and a depleted Packers team, and were held to just 13 points. The Eagles currently sit in last place in the NFC East, and their playoff chances are slowly dwindling away. A win over the Bengals is absolutely necessary if they want a shot at sneaking into a playoff spot.

The Bengals had playoff hopes entering the season after soiling another playoff berth last year, but those dreams have slowly gone down the toilet as the Bengals pile up loss after loss. A.J. Green is out for the year, the defense is a revolving door, and the offense can't put up points with a depleted roster. It's been a bad year. However, the Eagles are reeling, and are a perfect opponent for the Bengals to find some redemption. It's a pretty even match-up.

Eagles vs. Bengals prediction:

The Eagles get the win and get back on track. Carson Wentz simply has more to work with than Andy Dalton, who is missing several weapons on offense. I wouldn't be surprised if this contest came down to the final possession. It's going to be a war of attrition, and the Eagles will get it done.
