Eagles vs. Lions preview:
The Eagles enter this game coming off a bye week and will be looking to maintain their undefeated record with another win over the Lions. Quarterback Carson Wentz hasn't turned the ball over yet this year and likely will continue that trend against a dreadful Lions defense. Philadelphia boasts the top scoring defense in the NFL, giving up less than 10 points per game. The Eagles also have the No. 2 scoring offense in the league this year, scoring just over 30 points per game.
The Lions have dropped three straight after winning on a last-second field goal against the Colts in week one. Last week, Detroit looked out of sorts against the Bears, but the offense can score and I expect a rebound performance this week, and huge games from both QB Matt Stafford and WR Marvin Jones Jr. They're in must-win mode at this point.
The Lions won last year's matchup, 45-14.
Eagles vs. Lions prediction:
Philadelphia outscores their opponents by an average of 21 points per game. Meanwhile the Lions get outscored by an average of 1.7 points per game. Not good news for Detroit.
The Eagles win this one. The Lions don't have the pass rush to get to Wentz, giving him plenty of time to throw, and he'll slice them up while committing no turnovers. The Eagles go to 4-0 on the year.
