Erin Andrews Confronted NFL Quarterback About Spreading 'Hookup' Rumor

Erin Andrews isn't just an incredible reporter for FOX, she also happens to be a supportive friend.

On the latest episode of the "Calm Down" podcast, Charissa Thompson mentioned how Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold spread a rumor about her hooking up with an unnamed person. She claims the rumor going around was totally false, but that didn't stop the former No. 3 pick from sharing it.

"[He] was spreading some rumors about me that I had dated some random – not dated – that I hooked up with this guy," Thompson said, via the New York Post. "And I was like, ‘I never hooked up with that guy, Sam Darnold, don’t you dare say that.' And it got back to me, so we’re setting the record straight."

Luckily for Thompson, she didn't need to confront Darnold about this rumor. That's because Andrews took care of business for her.

"I told him during the pregame one time," Andrews said. "I said ‘Ohh, Charissa’s got a bone to pick with you.'"

Andrews is never afraid to speak her mind. Earlier this week, she joked about how Aaron Rodgers snubbed the Prime Video postgame show after leading the New York Jets to a victory over the New England Patriots

“I’d rather it have been up there on the desk," Andrews said. "I was looking forward to two of my really good friends yukking it up. I didn’t love it."

Andrews will be in the Sunshine State this weekend to cover an NFC showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Maybe she'll have more stories to share after that one is over.
