Did AT&T Stadium play host to the future head coach of the Dallas Cowboys this afternoon? It’s a possibility.
Oklahoma topped Baylor in overtime of the Big 12 Championship Game in Arlington, Texas today. The Sooners, led by head coach Jalen Hurts, might have locked up a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Head coach Lincoln Riley might have impressed his future boss, too – or, at least, someone who might like to hire him.
It’s unfair to suggest Riley will leave Oklahoma for the Cowboys, but it’s not unfair to think that Jones will go after him.

Baylor head coach Matt Rhule was pretty impressive, too.

It would not be surprising to see Jones go into the college ranks for his next head coach, assuming Jason Garrett is fired.
The Cowboys likely need an NFC Championship Game berth or better for Garrett to stick around. At this point, that seems highly unlikely.
