Although this year's Super Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium, the NFL is doing everything in its power to keep the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers away from the Las Vegas Strip.

Arash Markazi reported Wednesday that Kansas City's roster will stay at Westin Lake Las Vegas ahead of Super Bowl LVIII. San Francisco's players, meanwhile, will stay at Hilton Lake Las Vegas.

Lake Las Vegas is roughly 25 miles off the Las Vegas Strip, so the NFL probably won't have to worry about the players living it up at a casino.

Judging by the reactions on social media, NFL fans think it's lame that the team hotels for Kansas City and San Francisco are located at Lake Las Vegas.

"It is legitimately hilarious that Goodell comes off concerned that 35-year-old men will get into trouble in a big city and need a chaperone in a more pastoral setting," a social media user wrote.

Another person said, "It’s like the NFL knows not to put the Super Bowl teams in Caesars…"

"They wanna be in bed with the sportsbooks and casinos to take more money off fans but god forbid one of the players walking round in caesar’s palace," a fan commented.

Last week, it was reported that gambling in any form is prohibited during the week of the Super Bowl for the two participants.

For that reason alone, it makes sense why the NFL is steering clear of the Las Vegas Strip.
