Both Elliott and Hyde starred at Ohio State during their college careers. Elliott and Hyde both went over 3,000 yards during their time at Ohio State. Elliott was Hyde's backup during his freshman year in 2013.
The running backs both had solid games, but Elliott won the rushing battle. Elliott racked up 138 yards on 23 carries while Hyde rushed for 74 yards on 15 carries.
The Cowboys improved to 3-1 on the season, while the San Francisco 49ers fell to 1-3 following the 24-17 loss.
