Falcons vs. Panthers preview:

If the Falcons beat the Panthers, they will be in the playoffs, if they beat New Orleans at home the week after, they win the NFC South. It's pretty straightforward. They've won two in a row after falling to the Chiefs by a single point, and they've scored 42 and 41 in those wins, while holding opponents to just 14 and 13. The defense will have its hands full dealing with Cam Newton at home, but they've been impressive as of late. It's unclear yet if Julio Jones will play, though they've been just fine without him.

The Panthers are out of the playoffs at 6-8, just a season removed from a 15-1 season and a Super Bowl berth. Still, they've managed to play well as of late, dominating the Redskins for four quarters on Monday night with a 26-15 win. This game is for little more than pride, and it's at home, but let''s not forget what happened the last time these two faced off: Matt Ryan threw for 503 yards, while Julio Jones caught 12 passes for 300 yards.

Falcons vs. Panthers prediction:

I think the Panthers get torched again. The secondary just flat-out hasn't improved, and Julio Jones or not, Matt Ryan will find bodies to throw to. This one's over by halftime.
