A former top-10 pick will reportedly be out at least four games.
Justin Gilbert has reportedly been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2017 NFL season. According to Courtney Fallon of NFL Network, the former top-10 pick was suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell.
Gilbert was the No. 8 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, taken by the Cleveland Browns. He was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth-round pick last year, and saw limited action.
The free agent has yet to sign with another team, and it looks like his time in the league may have run its course. An insane athlete, many around the NFL believed Gilbert could become a great defensive player. He didn't pan out, and now is in danger of finding himself on the outside.
