Earlier: The Green Bay Packers were going to want to forget tonight's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders and that was before Rashan Gary got hurt.
Gary, a first-round pick in April's draft out of Michigan, was carted to the locker room earlier tonight. Fortunately, he was able to walk through the tunnel.
Gary is one of three Packer players to leave the game due to injury so far, along with linebacker Curtis Bolton and wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown.
Of course, seeing Gary and others get hurt is the icing on the cake for Green Bay, which is playing against Oakland on an 80-yard field due to issues with the turf.
Gary is playing a new position in the NFL after lining up at defensive tackle while at Michigan, and he's come on slowly in the preseason. The last thing Green Bay wants is for him to be out for an extended period of time.
We'll provide more updates on Gary when they become available.
Update: Gary's sports agency Twitter account says he's doing fine.
Seems like a good source. That's great news for Gary and Green Bay.
