The 2019 NFL season sits just over a week away, but there are still a few significant players holding out from camp.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott and Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon are the two that have stolen headlines.

However, Houston Texans star pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney still sits without a contract as he has yet to sign his franchise tender. Earlier Tuesday afternoon, Clowney reportedly fired his agent.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport revealed Clowney is "unhappy with the state of talks about his future."

A new report revealed he wants out of Houston.

NFL insider Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reported Clowney wants to be traded to the Seattle Seahawks or the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport revealed Clowney met with Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores as well. "Jadeveon Clowney met in person with Dolphins coach Brian Flores and other members of the organization’s brass," Rapoport reported.

The former first-round pick recorded 205 tackles and 29 sacks over five seasons with the Texans. He also recovered six fumbles and scored a pair of defensive touchdowns.

The Dolphins appear to have emerged as a serious threat to trade for Clowney this week.

Stay tuned for more on the developing situation.
