As Julio Jones goes, so too, do the Atlanta Falcons. The wide receiver is arguably the best at his position and has played like it through two games this season.
That's why Wednesday's news has Falcons fans hoping for the best. According to Atlanta beat reporter Jason Butt, Jones missed practice on Wednesday day.
Jones is reportedly dealing with a calf injury.
It's not known if the injury will keep him off the field on Sunday when the team faces off against division rival New Orleans.
Jones exploded in his first game of the season for 169 yards on 10 catches against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The former Alabama star caught five passes for 64 yards against Carolina this past weekend. He sits at No. 6 in the league in receiving yards after two games.
It's unclear if Jones' injury will keep him off the field on Sunday.
