On Saturday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Divisional Round. The hottest player in the league – Patrick Mahomes – faced off against the hottest team in the league – Indianapolis.
The Colts entered the game on a five-game winning streak and winners of 10 of their last 11. However, Mahomes and company quieted any momentum Andrew Luck and the Colts had by blanking the team in the first quarter.
Kansas City holds a 17-0 lead with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. It’s all looking good for the Chiefs right now.
However, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes tweaked his knee early in the second quarter and appeared to be limping heavily. According to Dan Granziano of ESPN, Chiefs fans can breath a sigh of relief knowing Mahomes looks to be okay.
For those concerned about Mahomes limping a bit as he left the field…. it did not appear as if he got much if any attention from the training staff during that timeout. He's on the bench going over the tablet with coaches as he does after every drive.

With a 17-point lead and the defense dominating, Mahomes might not need to see the field much anyway.
