The Dallas Cowboys don't need to win today's game against the New York Giants, but Jason Garrett has played most of his regular starters today. He's lucky it didn't cost him immensely just now.

Leighton Vander Esch, Dallas' star rookie linebacker, came up lame after making a tackle on Giants running back Wayne Gallman in the fourth quarter. Vander Esch was looked at on the field by trainers.

He eventually walked off under his own power. On replay, it appeared that his legs got tangled up with Gallman's and teammate Jaylon Smith's.

After Dallas' most recent touchdown, Vander Esch was back on the field for the PAT.

It looks like he is good to go.

Dallas leads New York 28-25 late in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys have already clinched the NFC East and will host a playoff game next weekend.
