One of the best quarterbacks in NFL history is in danger of missing his team's game this weekend.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady practiced in limited fashion earlier this week on Wednesday. The Patriots had Thanksgiving Day off from practice so Brady had an extra rest day to get ready for the team's game against the New York Jets this weekend.

However, Brady also missed practice on Friday afternoon as he attempts to recover from a knee injury. Despite the injury and his absence from practice, Brady is expected to suit up for the game on Sunday.

Here's the news from NFL Network reporter Michael Giardi.

The Jets will be without rookie quarter Sam Darnold. Veteran quarterback Josh McCown gets the start for New York with the No. 3 overall pick sidelined due to injury.

New England and New York kick off on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
