If the results around the NFL hold as of writing, the Philadelphia Eagles will be back in the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title. Unfortunately, the quarterback who they expect will lead them in the playoffs - Nick Foles - is now dealing with an injury.

Foles was forced out of today's game against the Washington Redskins with a chest injury. Per reports, he is questionable to return.

Prior to the injury, Foles had the Eagles cruising to victory on the road.

He tied the NFL record with 25 consecutive completions and left after going 28-of-33 for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Foles led the Eagles to the Super Bowl last year, winning the Super Bowl MVP award, but ultimately didn't earn the starting job over Carson Wentz going into the 2018 season. Like last season, Wentz is out with an injury and Foles is in to replace him.

Eagles backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld came in and helped the Eagles extend their lead to 24-0 nothing. His lone pass was a 22-yard grab by Nelson Agholor for a touchdown.

The Eagles lead the Redskins 24-0 in the fourth quarter.

The game is available on FOX.
