Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin was injured in the second half of today’s game against the Detroit Lions. He will not return to the contest.
Godwin, who’s become of the most-potent wide receivers in the NFL, had to be carted off the field after suffering the injury late in today’s game. Godwin went down on a pass attempt late in the third quarter and was holding his leg.
The 23-year-old wide receiver had five catches for 121 yards prior to the injury.
Godwin suffered a hamstring injury.

Tampa Bay has since announced that Godwin is officially out for the remainder of the game. This is a devastating blow to the Bucs’ offense.
“WR Chris Godwin is OUT for the remainder of today’s game (hamstring),” Tampa Bay announced.

Tampa Bay is leading Detroit, 24-10, late in the third quarter of today’s game.
