You can count Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett among the people fuming at fans who were booing Andrew Luck on Saturday night.

The newly-minted Colts starting quarterback was not at all pleased at seeing and hearing fans boo Luck after word of his retirement spread to social media.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Brissett revealed that he was shocked by the news of Luck's retirement. As for the fans that booed his former teammate, he had a very blunt reaction to that:

"Yeah, it sucked."

Brissett also noted that Luck "seemed happy" with the decision.

The news broke on Saturday night that Luck was retiring after just seven years in the NFL. He led the Colts to four playoff appearances and an AFC Championship Game during his tenure.

But the goodwill that Luck had garnered on and off the field evaporated in front of the Colts' preseason crowd. Luck and the Colts front office all expressed deep disappointment at the crowd reaction.

The controversy over their reaction to his departure has been a subject of intense discussion since it happened.

As for Brissett, he is heading into his fourth NFL season, and has another crack at being an NFL starter.

But if he winds of going 4-11 with the Colts as he did in 2017, he may hear the boo-birds too.
