Jalen Ramsey is just weeks removed from reports that he requested a trade. He remains with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but his desire to be elsewhere has called into question some of the health issues he's faced recently.

Ramsey is coming off of a brief bout with the flu. Now, he's out with a back injury.

Earlier today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that it is "far-fetched to think" that Ramsey will play this weekend. The Jags have a trip to Denver.

Other players who have requested trades, like Washington's Trent Williams, have actually held out. Ramsey clearly doesn't want to do that, at least openly.

Amid the situation, Ramsey and head coach Doug Marrone's relationship hasn't seemed great. The two had a big blowup during the team's game against the Houston Texans a few weeks ago.

Marrone's press conference today may not help mend that relationship.

When asked about Ramsey's health situation, Marrone couldn't help but laugh through answers about the flu bug and his back tightness.

From the Florida Times-Union's John Reid.

Marrone said that Jalen Ramsey's back tightness was nothing out of the ordinary for the star defensive back, and it is something that has happened before.

It is hard for the laughing, for a typically stern head coach, to not stand out, though.
