A star quarterback has been suspended for the first three games of the 2018 NFL season. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for three games.

Winston's camp was initially preparing for the suspension after a report from ESPN Tallahassee radio host Jeff Cameron. Winston's suspension would be stemming from an incident from back in 2016.

According to that report, the suspension comes as a result of Winston's failure to report an incident that occurred two years ago - something that violates the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

Here's the suspension news from Adam Schefter.

What incident? Well, BuzzFeed reported back in November of 2017 that a female Uber driver accused Winston of grabbing her crotch during a ride in March of 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Schefter went on to report that the suspension is likely to come on Friday. Winston will be able to appeal the suspension.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott attempted to appeal his suspension last year, and missed several important games down the stretch as a result of the failed appeal.

Stay tuned for additional details.
