On Tuesday afternoon, news broke that a body was found in the New Jersey home of New York Giants star Janoris Jenkins. His brother, William, has been identified as a person of interest in the case.

Late Tuesday night, the identity of the victim was revealed by officials. According to a report from NBC New York, the victim was a 25-year-old male identified as Roosevelt Rene, a friend of Janoris Jenkins.

According to TMZ, Ontario County NY District Attorney James Ritts revealed, "William Jenkins is a person of interest in relation to dead body case at his brother’s house."

There's a plot twist, though. Just hours before the body was found at Jenkins' residence in New Jersey, William Jenkins was arrested in upstate New York.

According to jail records obtained by TMZ Sports, 34-year-old William Jenkins was arrested in upstate NY on June 26 at 1:46 AM ET ... about 9 hours BEFORE the body was discovered at JJ's home.

TMZ went on to classify William's arrest as an unrelated parole warrant issue and made sure to note he's not viewed as a suspect at this point - officials reportedly just want to see what he knows.

More details to come.
