Jason Kelce 'Hates' Taylor Swift's Favorite Christmas Movie
Jason Kelce is not a fan of Taylor Swift's favorite Christmas movie, that's for sure.
The former Philadelphia Eagles lineman turned media mogul discussed Swift's favorite holiday season movie on the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce (who of course is dating the Eras Tour star). Jason's wife, Kylie Kelce, joined the brothers on the show this week. Kylie Kelce recently launched her own podcast, which is surging up the charts.
Taylor Swift's favorite Christmas movie, for those unaware, is "Love Actually." The 2003 flick, which stars Liam Neeson, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy and many others, is pretty polarizing. You either love it or you hate it, it seems. And Jason Kelce seems to fall in the hate it camp.
Jason Kelce called the movie, which blends several different storylines of love, cheating and relationships, the worst Christmas movie he's seen.
Travis Kelce, meanwhile, seemed to enjoy it, though he admitted that he was a bit stressed out watching all of the drama unfold.
“What’s crazy is that all of these stories tie together in one community, and it’s supposed to make it look like this is what happens,” he said. “Like, this is what’s going on around you.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end added that he found the film “far-fetched,” and said he “couldn’t relate to anybody onscreen."
Jason Kelce, meanwhile, did not hold back with his comments. He's not apologizing for that, either.
“I’m giving an honest review, not swayed by an ulterior motive,” the future Hall of Famer, 37, said. “That’s what you get from Jason Kelce.”
Swift, now 35, spoke highly of the film in a Teen Vogue interview in May 2014.
“If you look around, love actually is all around," she said.
She had to appreciate her boyfriend's comments on the movie, too, as he gave it an 8 or 9 out of 10.
The Chiefs, 14-1 on the year, are set to take on the Steelers on Christmas Day. Kickoff between Kansas City and Pittsburgh is set for 1 p.m. E.T.
The game will be airing on Netflix, where most Christmas movie watching takes place.
