The Pro Bowl is being played right now in Orlando, and while the game is a meaningless exhibition, ESPN announcer Jason Witten is in midseason form on the mic.

That isn't a good thing for Witten. The rookie color analyst and future NFL Hall of Fame tight end had a rough debut season as part of ESPN's Monday Night Football crew.

That rough rookie year continued today when Witten made an embarrassing mistake during the Pro Bowl. It happened when the Kansas City Chiefs' Pat Mahomes hit the Indianapolis Colts' Eric Ebron for a touchdown.

At the end of this clip from the NFL, you can hear Witten say that Ebron "was his [Mahomes'] guy all year."

Of course, that isn't the case. Mahomes and Ebron aren't teammates. Travis Kelce was Mahomes' go-to tight end this year, while Ebron was incredibly productive catching passes from Andrew Luck.

To be honest, anyone who has ever been on camera or on the radio has made silly mistakes before, the author of this post included. However, this is a pretty notable one.

It doesn't help Witten either that he struggled on the air all year. Hopefully 2019 will be better for him.
