Earlier this week, a Cowboys beat reporter from suggested a contract extension could be coming for Dallas head coach Jason Garrett. DallasCowboys.com, columnist Jeff Sullivan tweeted, "Sounds like another extension could be signed soon he's not going anywhere," in regards to Garrett.

However, Jones responded to Sullivan's report and it doesn't seem to have any merit. Per Jon Machota of SportsDay, Jones hasn't revealed his plans to anyone.

"I don't know where Jeff is getting his information," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ show [KRLD-FM]. "He's pulling one out of the air there as far as any knowledge. My response should not in any way indicate that I'm thinking about it or whether it's going to be there, it's just not something that I would have visited with anybody about, least of all Jeff.

"I happen to know that I've never spoken to another soul about that as far as that is concerned."

Garrett's contract runs through the 2019 NFL season. Will he remain the team's head coach following that point?

Dallas sits at 3-3 on the season, but is coming off of a 40-7 demolition of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Next up for the Cowboys is a trip to division-rival Washington on Sunday afternoon.
