Jets Star Has 5-Word Message For Everyone About Zach Wilson
To the surprise of football fans everywhere, Zach Wilson was thrust back into the starting quarterback role of the New York Jets on Monday night.
Aaron Rodgers' season-ending Achilles injury means that Wilson is once again the Jets' starter, for better or worse.
Wilson played well enough to earn a win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, but some fans are understandably concerned about the rest of the season given Wilson's previous track record in the NFL.
The Jets' roster doesn't share that same belief. Second-year running back Breece Hall shared a video of Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett giving Wilson their support on Monday, and he gave a message of his own.
"We ALL believe in 2," Hall said about Wilson.
Wilson is facing an uphill battle this season. The entire Jets offense was rebuilt around Rodgers during the offseason, which means that he'll need to adjust to fit around the pieces that were brought in.
Wilson struggled in his first two seasons in the NFL, but he's entering 2023 with something of a clean slate.
The Jets believe that they have a competitive roster, and if Wilson can refrain from some of the same mistakes that he made in the past, they may be able to salvage their season.
