Play-by-play man Jim Nantz was caught on video expressing his views on the national anthem protests being made by NFL players.
Jim Nantz, one of the most famous play-by-play announcers in the world, generally keeps his point of view to himself - given his position. But ahead of last week's Thursday Night Football contest between the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals, he was caught on camera commenting on the national anthem protests being staged by numerous NFL players.
Nantz, in a video posted by Deadspin, can be heard saying "They're going to keep kneeling as long as we have cameras in their face." He doesn't sound thrilled about the whole situation.
The practice of kneeling for the anthem was started by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in protest of racial injustice in the United States.
It's unclear whether Nantz will offer a comment on the situation.
