Jon Gruden Is 'Preparing' For An NFL Comeback

Could we see Gruden back on the sidelines soon?

Every coaching vacancy brings rumors of Jon Gruden gracing the sidelines once again.

Gruden, who last coached for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008, has been open about a return to coaching.

In a recent interview with Scott Reynolds of the Pewter Report, Gruden once against announced his commitment to a coaching comeback.

From the interview:

“I’ve met with several people – I won’t deny that,” Gruden said. “People – just about every year I talk about coming back to coach. I’m not in here every day at 4:30 or 4:00 in the morning watching pinball. You know? I’m preparing myself to come back. I am. Every day. I’m preparing to come back."

In the interview, Gruden mentioned that he's hoping for an NFL gig, and said that he'd have a college program on probation in a few weeks due to all the restrictions placed on coaches by the NCAA.

We'd love to see Gruden back on the sidelines, even if that means we won't get him to see him in the ESPN broadcast booth.
