Jon Gruden revealed on Monday Night Football that he's been Chucky for Halloween...for 17 straight years.

The ESPN broadcasting duo of Jun Gruden and Sean McDonough had some fun during the Halloween broadcast of the Vikings-Bears game on Monday Night Football. At one point, McDonough brings out some Chucky masks, as an "ode to Jon Gruden," who bears a stark resemblance to the evil, murderous doll.

It's great:

But that's not even the good part. Gruden then went on to confirm the story about his Halloween habit, that, yeah, when he's at home for Halloween, he's been Chucky for the last 17 years.

"Do you even have to wear the mask?" McDonough says.

“The kids walk up to the door and say ‘I know that’s you, Coach Gruden,’ and I’ve got my Chucky mask on, 17 years in a row.”

Jon Gruden was not known to be much of an innovator as a head coach, so it makes sense that he finds comfort in something tried and true. Never change, Gruden.
