Aaron Rodgers' devastating injury on Monday night has been the talk of the sports world this week. Rodgers' season with the Jets ended after only four plays, as the four-time MVP suffered a torn Achilles before even completing a pass.

Jordan Love, Rodgers' successor in Green Bay, was impressive in his season debut on Sunday. Love helped lead the Packers to a big win over their NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears.

Love said that he watched Monday's game, and he felt bad for what happened to his former teammates.

"I can't speak for him, but I know him," Love said. "He's a very competitive person, and I have no doubt he'll be back. He'll kill it in recovery and be back."

Love and Rodgers were teammates for multiple years in Green Bay after the Packers drafted the former Utah State quarterback with the 26th overall pick in 2020.

The young quarterback has patiently waited, and now he is the Packers' franchise quarterback in 2023. The Packers have turned the page when it comes to Rodgers, but he remains one of the most important figures in franchise history.

The plan was for him to have a similar level of influence and importance with the Jets, but the injury has derailed his season and possibly what remains of his career in the NFL.
