Caitlin Clark Had 4-Word Reaction To Sunday Night's Wild Chiefs Win

Caitlin Clark is one of the many Kansas City Chiefs fans enjoying the team's weekly propensity to pull out close wins.

The Chiefs moved to 12-1 on the season with Sunday night's 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Overall, 10 of KC's 12 victories have come via one score or less, and their largest margin of victory this season is only 13 points. Last night's win was a particularly close call, with kicker Matthew Wright doinking in a 31-yard field goal off the left upright on the final play of the game.

A win is a win no matter how you get it, and Clark celebrated the Chiefs' most recent W on X/Twitter late Sunday night.

"Bank is open …. CHIEFSSSSSSSSSSS," Clark wrote.

Depending on how you look at things, either the Chiefs have an insane amount of luck/devil magic going on, or their pedigree as two-time defending Super Bowl champions has enabled them to consistently come out on top in close games.

UNCASVILLE, CT - SEPTEMBER 25: Caitlin Clark #22 of the Indiana Fever drives to the basket during the game against the Connecticut Sun during Round one Game two of the 2024 WNBA Playoffs on September 25, 2024 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Whatever the explanation, Clark and her fellow Kansas City fans are not apologizing. The Indiana Fever standout has been a vocal Chiefs supporter for years now, and even had the chance to meet star tight end Travis Kelce when he attended his girlfriend Taylor Swift's concert in Indianapolis last month.

"[Caitlin’s] awesome," Kelce said of meeting the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, via The Daily Mail. "She loves being out there in Indianapolis.

"We’re both just true Midwesterners to the heart. You know, played high school ball, college ball, pro ball, all out here in the Midwest, so it was cool catching up with her."

When Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023, Clark welcomed the pop megastar to the Chiefs' fanbase.

"Taylor Swift welcome to the good side #chiefskingdom," Clark said on X/Twitter," she said.

The Chiefs have already clinched their ninth-straight AFC West title and will look to wrap up the AFC's No. 1 seed over the next few weeks.
