Lady Gaga apparently wants to perform her Super Bowl halftime show on the roof of the NRG Stadium, for some reason.
Yeah, you read that right. Lady Gaga, who has a reputation for outlandish performances, wants to perform the Super Bowl LI halftime show from the roof of the NRG Stadium, leaving lawyers and technicians alike scrambling to bring the plan to fruition.
A source close to the Lady Gaga team told PageSix:
“They’re writing up multiple plans about how to safely get her on the roof, including potentially [cutting] a hole in the ceiling of the dome."
According to PageSix's source, "her team is worried," and would prefer that she do the stunt—if it's even possible at all—for a pretaped commercial that would air before the game, but Lady Gaga is all in on doing it live.
Let's all hope that this plan comes together, it'd finally make the Super Bowl halftime show worth watching.
