LeSean McCoy injury update: the Bills running back is done for the day after re-aggravating his hamstring injury.
We have a LeSean McCoy injury update. The Bills running back re-aggravated a hamstring injury he suffered last week against the San Francisco 49ers.
McCoy's status to play was in doubt for much of this week leading up to the game, but the running back was upgraded to a game-time decision before the game. The Pitt product did not have much success against the Miami Dolphins before eventually being sidelined after re-aggravating the hamstring injury.
McCoy had eight carries on the day, but managed just 11 yards. Backup running back Mike Gillislee will step in for the injured McCoy.
The star running back has dealt with hamstring injuries before, struggling through a string of hamstring problems last season. It was not a great idea to start McCoy, who could have used some rest to recover from the nagging injury.
