While Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster clearly aren't on good terms these days, it seems like Le'Veon Bell gets along just fine with James Conner, the man who replaced him in Pittsburgh.
Conner filled in admirably for Bell last fall as Pittsburgh's star running back sat out the season following a contract dispute. Now, he's the star in the backfield while Bell will suit up for the New York Jets in 2019.
Bell shared a text message he received from Conner today. In it, the budding star has nothing but praise and well-wishes for his former teammate.
"Social media got dudes acting crazy and it got me thinkin you was always a real one, never talked bad about nobody and was solid," the text from Conner reads. "I appreciate that! Congrats on the new deal you weathered the storm and came out stronger."
Bell said the text "just hit me so differently."
It is pretty cool to see this, especially considering the ongoing saga between Brown and Smith-Schuster.
It looks like Conner and Bell will always have each other's backs, even if they aren't playing together.
