Le'Veon Bell remains absent from the Pittsburgh Steelers organization nearly three weeks into the 2018 NFL season. Bell and the Steelers failed to reach a contract extension for the second-consecutive year.
After Bell's decision to sit out for the team's first game against the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh removed Bell from the depth chart. Now, following his absence during the game against Kansas City, the Steelers have taken it one step further.
Bell has now been completely removed from the roster. According to ESPN Steelers beat writer Jeremy Fowler, No. 26 is no longer on the roster.
Fowler posted a photo on Twitter.
So what's Le'Veon been doing during his absence? Well, the former second-round pick was spotted jetskiing and partying in the club earlier this week.
It doesn't look like Bell has plans to return to the Steelers' sideline any time soon. Le'Veon has until just after Week 10 to report to the Pittsburgh organization, or he tempts the franchise tag once again.
