Lions vs. Saints preview:

The Lions solidified their spot in first place in the NFC North with a win over the Vikings on Thanksgiving, and with the victory, have now won sixth of their last seven after staring the season 1-3. The defense is...bad, to say the least, but no matter the deficit, Matt Stafford always seems to pull through in the fourth quarter when it counts. The Lions just seem to find ways to win this year.

The Saints obliterated the Rams 49-21 on Sunday, with Drew Brees going nuclear, throwing for 310 yards and four touchdowns on a sublime 28-of-36 passing. He basically turned the Rams secondary into swiss cheese. Still, as is always the case in New Orleans, the defense is pitiful. They only gave up 214 yards to rookie QB Jared Goff, but still allowed three touchdown passes. Matt Stafford is going to be throwing a ton.

Lions vs. Saints prediction:

This one will probably go back and forth all game, but I give the edge to the Saints because they're at home, and Drew Brees is a monster at home. The Saints offense is also a little bit more balanced. With Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower on the ground, they're not forced to rely strictly on whoever's under center like the Lions do. The Lions make a push in the fourth quarter, but it isn't enough.
