Travis Kelce has done plenty of trash-talking, but he praised Jalen Hurts for an exceptional Super Bowl performance.

Along with throwing for 304 yards and a touchdown, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback set Super Bowl records at his position with 70 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Although his team fell short in a 38-35 shootout, it's hardly a stretch to say he played better than Patrick Mahomes on Sunday.

On this week's New Heights podcast (h/t Dov Kleiman), Kelce applauded when his brother and Eagles center Jason Kelce brought up Hurts. The tight end suggested Hurts had a case to win Super Bowl MVP despite his team losing.

"He was just lights out," Travis Kelce said. "With his feet, with his arm, you name it, he was playing his tail off."

Jason Kelce concurred, calling his teammate's effort "unbelievable."

Travis wasn't the only Kansas City star to give Hurts his flowers. Patrick Mahomes praised the opposing quarterback's "special performance" after the game.

"If there were any doubters left there shouldn’t be now," Mahomes said. "The way he stepped on this stage and ran, threw the ball, whatever it took for his team to win."

It's a far different tone than Kelce struck after the AFC Championship Game. He mocked the Cincinnati Bengals for referring to Arrowhead Stadium as "Burrowhead" and called the Cincinnati mayor a "jabroni."

Hurts, on the other hand, is no jabroni. The 24-year-old wrapped up a breakout season with a career-defining game that should help ensure a lucrative long-term extension.
