Chargers Star Joey Bosa Shares Wild Jim Harbaugh, Cold Tub Story
Jim Harbaugh is certainly an eccentric personality, as many of his former players at Stanford, Michigan and the San Francisco 49ers will tell you.
Harbaugh has the ability to get the most out of his players, and he doesn't mind being himself to do it, no matter how odd it may look to the untrained eye.
The current Los Angeles Chargers head coach clearly left an impression on star pass rusher Joey Bosa, who told a story about his coach during a recent podcast appearance.
During an episode of "Greenlight with Chris Long," Bosa mentioned that he was unaware of Harbaugh's infamous RV, the motor home the coach lived in while trying to find permanent housing during the summer.
"That's right in line with everything he's done so far, so I believe it." Bosa told Long.
"I don't know why this is relatable, but now he's been hitting the cold tub, and he just gets in, full outfit."
Long couldn't believe that Harbaugh would go into the cold tub fully clothed, but Bosa continued to set the scene.
"Shirt, still tucked in. And he's just sitting there...belt, khakis."
Bosa said that he had to ask Harbaugh if the khakis help keep him warm in the cold tub, but Long pushed back.
"It's kind of counterintuitive. You'd think a football guy like him would be like, 'I want to feel the cold'," said the former Super Bowl winner.
Harbaugh's unorthodox methods have paid off at his previous stops, and things seem to be working well with the Chargers. The team is 2-0 on the season after wins over the Raiders and Panthers, and they'll look to make it three wins in a row to start the season on Sunday.
Bosa and the Chargers will be matched up against another 3-0 team on Sunday in the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we'll see if the motivational techniques from the head coach were enough to bring another win for the team.
